A Pastor friend recently told me the meaning of Merry Christmas. Merry means "mighty". Mas at the end of Christmas in Latin means "encounter". So, when we wish someone a Merry Christmas we are saying, "May you have a mighty encounter with Christ". I don't know about you, but this is exactly what I want. So I wish you the same. May each one of you have a MIGHTY encounter with Christ this Christmas Season.
Forget the Happy Holiday greeting and wish people a Merry Christmas.

It truely is a mighty God we serve!
Merry Christmas to you and your entire family. I love the description of what that means. This time of year is so joyous to celebrate the entrance of our Savior into this world. It also makes one very humble to realize God Himself loved me (and the rest of the world) so much that He sent Jesus here to pay for my sins.
